TaxRival LLC ("TaxRival," "we," "us") collects information you provide when using our services, including your name, email address, phone number, property identification numbers (PINs), and financial data related to your commercial property. We also collect property assessment data, comparable sales data, and other publicly available information from Cook County government databases.
We use your information to analyze your property tax assessment, prepare appeal evidence packages, file appeals with the Cook County Assessor's Office or Board of Review, communicate with you about your appeal status, and process contingency fee payments upon successful appeals.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the Cook County Assessor's Office and Board of Review as part of the appeal process, licensed attorneys if your appeal is escalated to the Board of Review, and service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing).
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure cloud infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Property assessment data, sale records, and appeal outcomes used in our analysis are publicly available through the Cook County Assessor's Office, Cook County Recorder of Deeds, and the Cook County Open Data Portal. Our use of this data is consistent with its public availability.
